The genus of the myrrhs, Commiphora, is the most species-rich genus of flowering plants in the frankincense and myrrh family. Myrrh resin is the ultimate scent of the Element of Water. Myrrh was used by the Ancient Egyptians in their embalming process and for ritual fumigation in many different ancient cultures.
